Twins Ride "Kübelwagen" To Victory
Kübelwagen, Germany's WWII Jeep Equivalent
Less than two weeks ago, Minneapolis Star Tribune columnist Patrick Reusse was wondering if the Twins should keep Jason Kubel around. Kubel showed with his bat why he should stay, smacking a walk off grand slam off of Julian Tavarez in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game 5-2 for the Twins. Matt Clement goes to the mound tomorrow against Brad Radke.

Papi Then Sloppy
Another Walk - Off For Papi Sunday
For those of us who didn't experience it in person or live on television, just seeing the replay and hearing the crowd yellng "Papi, Papi" as he stood up to bat against Akinori Otsuka, the Rangers ' reliever was electric, as we heard the calls of Don Orsillo 
and Joe Castiglione on ESPN News and ESPN Sportscenter, respectively. It must have been a great experience for the fans at the first half of the day/night doubleheader to see the walk-off homer and the Red Sox 5-4 win. The fans in the second game weren't as fortunate as the Rangers got to David Pauley early enroute to a 13-6 win for Texas. Next up for the Sox, a trip to the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome aka "Homer Dome", in Minneapolis for a three game series against the Twins.
